The company was established in 1989 on the initiative of mining Maria Auxiliadora Barcelos, and is currently commanded by four children - Rosa, Lucia, Luiza Luiz and Raul - and one of the husbands, Ronaldo. It all started when Mrs. Dorothy, as he was affectionately called, decided to take on a new venture and won, at age 56, without consulting anyone, the facilities of a small shoe factory in Belo Horizonte.
