Italo-Brazilian designer Paula Cademartori moved to Italy in 2005 after earning a degree in Industrial Design from the Universidade Luterana do Brasil (ULBRA). She continued her studies in Milan where she obtained a master’s degree magna cum laude in Fashion Accessories from the Marangoni Institute and then a “Young Fashion Manager” certificate from the Bocconi University School of Business Administration. She embarked on her career at Gianni Versace. In September 2009 Paula got selected for the Vogue Talents project and, thanks to a recherché S/S 2010 shoe collection, her name made the Italian Vogue’s list of 140 Emerging Designers. The presentation in September 2010 of her first handbag collection, for Spring/Summer 2011, marked the international debut of the PAULA CADEMARTORI brand. In July 2011 the designer is participating to the high-prestige competition Who’s on Next, organized by Vogue Italia in co-operation with AltaRoma. Paula Cademartori was included in the group of 10 finalists operating on the main stage dedicated to young fashion designers and new talents in Italy. Her unremitting passion for fashion and for the concept of feminine beauty dates to her childhood days, when Paula Cademartori took pure delight in playing with her maternal grandmother’s clothes, accessories and jewelry. Smart sensuality, structure and contemporary sophistication underpin Paula’s aesthetic philosophy, a unique perspective where design becomes a primary tool of expression, emotion and timeless elegance.
