The lengthy family tradition of Aguilar de Dios dates back five generations, and the Spanish jewellery brand was founded in Cordoba in 1870. At the time, it produced popular designs of its day, but always with an emphasis on perfect finish. It was in 1960 that the company went into wholesale, with such successful results that just five years later it began exporting to the USA and Latin America. At the time, no defined growth plan was on the cards. But visitors to the Cordoba factory were so impressed with the beauty of the designs, that foreign sales took off. It was not until 1978 that the company really began to consider a global action plan to boost its growing export business. Aguilar de Dios specialises in gold jewellery and has a top quality range at very competitive prices. It uses state-of-the-art technologies in its manufacturing processes, though handcraftsmanship is still important to finish. The extensive collection includes some 6,000 different articles.
